Privacy
What this site keeps about its readers, and why.
Likes on posts
The like button at the end of each post shows an anonymous count. To limit abuse, the server uses your IP only at the moment of the click: the IP becomes a hash with a salt that changes every day, and that hash is kept for up to 48 hours, only to enforce the like limit. The IP itself is not stored, and nothing identifies the reader.
Your browser keeps only an “already liked” mark for each post you liked, in localStorage, with no identifier. It is there only so the button shows as liked on your next visit. Likes use no cookies.
